Charlie Shedd Institute of Clinical Theology (CSICT)

The Institute of Clinical Theology was established in 1991 to promote activities in the fields of professional and pastoral counseling that specifically address Christian character formation. The Institute of Clinical Theology was renamed in 1996 to honor Charlie Shedd, pastor and renowned author of more than 40 inspirational books such as Letters to Philip and Letters to Karen.

CSICT courses are integrated into PSI’s curriculum in addition to the core sequence of licensure preparation and integration coursework. CSICT courses specifically focus on the application of devotional theology within counseling and pastoral counseling settings and constitute the spirituality track.

The vision of the CSICT for a journal on authentic transformation has been realized at PSI as Conversations: A Forum for Authentic Transformation.
